Our teaching philosophy
At Oxford Intensive Driving School, we believe learning to drive should be clear, structured and enjoyable. Whether you are a complete beginner, have had lessons before or are returning to driving after a break, we will adapt the training to suit your experience and goals.

Same one, start to finish
Oxford Intensive Driving School was built around intensive driving courses. Over the years, we have helped hundreds of learners progress from their first lesson to passing their practical driving test through structured training programmes.
A clear plan
Learning to drive can feel overwhelming at first. We break everything down into manageable steps and focus on one skill at a time. You will always know what you are working on, what needs improving and what comes next.
Lessons built around you
No two learners are the same. Some people pick things up quickly, while others need more time and practice. We offer both automatic and manual driving lessons and adapt the training to suit your experience, ability and goals.
Passing your driving test is important, but learning to drive is about much more than that. Our aim is to help you become a safe and independent driver who feels comfortable on the road after passing.
Safety skills for life
Honest advice
If we think you are ready for your driving test, we will tell you. If we think you need more practice first, we will tell you that too.
Our aim is to help you pass when you are ready, not simply rush you into a test before you are fully prepared.
Our instructors teach across Oxford every day and have extensive experience helping learners prepare for local roads, traffic conditions and practical driving tests at Oxford (Cowley) and Banbury test centres.
During your lessons, you will gain experience with roundabouts and busy junctions, city driving, residential roads, dual carriageways, independent driving, parking manoeuvres, rush-hour traffic and both Oxford and Banbury driving test routes.
